At Willow Tree we work in partnership with Everton in the Community to deliver our PE scheme of work. Taught weekly our PE scheme is written with careful consideration with the aims of the National Curriculum to ensure the children are provided with the opportunity to develop their skills and gain confidence in their ability to take part in a range of sporting activities. Each lesson is progressive and contains activities that not only develop the pupils’ skills but also develop the whole child. Each lesson will have a focus on a core value in line with Everton in the Community which are:
• Be ambitious – work hard and never give up on their goals
• Be inspiring – set a great example to others
• Be connected – work well with others and in a team
• Be fair – treat people equally and think of others
Activities cover the breadth of the curriculum including gymnastics, tag rugby, football and tennis. A range of sporting after school clubs such as multi-sports, dance and cheerleading are also offered to provide children with the opportunity to further develop their skills by taking part in competitive games.
